I haven't always had the mindset I have now and that’s exactly why I do this. One thing I want clients to know is that a lot of events can play a part in your health and wellness journey and they will all lead to you discovering what works for you.
At 19, I went through an oophorectomy (ovary removal) after dealing with reproductive health issues. After that surgery, everything shifted. Hormonal imbalances, combined with a lack of structure in my diet and fitness, led to significant weight gain. By 2018, I had reached 200 lbs.

I started making hard changes in how I ate and my daily habits. I ended relationships and patterns that weren’t helping me grow. By 2020, I had lost around 60 lbs through diet alone.
However, I became too extreme. I developed an unhealthy relationship with food. I obsessed over ingredients, and ended up under-eating. I wasn’t healthy, I was just smaller. That's when I realized looking “fit” and actually being healthy are not the same thing.
About Ke'Essence
My fitness journey officially began in 2022 with boxing and strength training as my main outlets. Building muscle changed everything for me. Both physically and mentally. I learned how to fuel my body, not punish it. I found balance. I built discipline the right way.
Now, as a certified personal trainer, I help others avoid the same extremes I went through. My approach isn’t about quick fixes or just chasing a number on the scale.
It’s about building a strong, sustainable lifestyle that actually works for you. As well as leads you to longevity and optimal health.
